education

Welcome to the education page of the WeSET website for both teachers and students. Westmill Windfarm is an inspiring educational resource, a rich and varied open air classroom and a practical resource for understanding sustainability. We hope this site will encourage you to consider a visit or be a useful resource to you for distance learning. We are still developing it with our education team. We welcome any ideas and feedback to make it as useful to you as possible. We have a large choice of varied resources for a range of ages developed by our education team for work on topics related to energy production, climate change, the windfarm and solar park. See Activities.

visits

School and Colleges are welcome to Westmill Wind Farm and Solar Park. We receive good feedback from teachers and students after first-hand experience of being close to the turbines to listen, to appreciate the scale, to feel the open nature of the site and to learn about how electricity is made from these renewable resources. Issues of economics and sustainability are aired in this unique place. Go to the learning page and resources pages to find out more
